Each therapist may take a slightly different approach, but rest assured that our team will provide you with the best possible care that is backed by research and the proper credentials.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness. Numerous research studies suggest that CBT leads to significant improvement in functioning and quality of life.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
A structured form of psychotherapy that helps individuals process and heal from traumatic or distressing experiences. EMDR uses guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to reduce the emotional intensity of memories, allowing the brain to reprocess them in a healthier, more adaptive way.
Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
TF-CBT addresses the mental health needs of children, adolescents, and families suffering from the destructive effects of early trauma. The treatment is particularly sensitive to the unique problems of youth with post-traumatic stress and mood disorders resulting from sexual abuse, as well as from physical abuse, violence, or grief.
Play Therapy
A therapeutic approach that uses play as a way for children to express emotions, process experiences, and develop coping skills. Through guided play with a trained therapist, children can explore difficult feelings, improve communication, and build emotional resilience in a safe and supportive environment.
Psychotherapy
Also known as talk therapy, Psychotherapy is a way to help people with a broad variety of mental illnesses and emotional difficulties. Psychotherapy can help eliminate or control troubling symptoms so a person can function better and can increase well-being and healing.
Group Therapy
A form of psychotherapy where individuals meet as a group under the guidance of a licensed therapist to share experiences, gain support, and work through challenges together. Group therapy fosters connection, reduces isolation, and helps participants develop insight, coping skills, and personal growth through shared understanding and feedback.
Solution Focused Therapy
SFBT is a short-term goal-focused evidence-based therapeutic approach, which incorporates positive psychology principles and practices, and which helps clients change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems.
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Psychodynamic therapy is an in-depth form of talk therapy based on the theories and principles of psychoanalysis. In effect, talking about problems in a therapeutic setting can be extremely valuable for the individual. Comparatively, psychodynamic therapy is less focused on the patient-therapist relationship and more focused on the patient’s relationship with their external world
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
ACT teaches mindfulness skills to help individuals live and behave in ways consistent with personal values while developing psychological flexibility.
Motivational Interviewing Therapy
Motivational interviewing is a counseling method that helps people resolve ambivalent feelings and insecurities to find the internal motivation they need to change their behavior. It is a practical, empathetic, and short-term process that takes into consideration how difficult it is to make life changes.
Interpersonal Psychotherapy
Interpersonal psychotherapy is a time-limited, focused, and evidence-based approach to treat mood disorders. The main goal of IPT is to improve the quality of a client’s interpersonal relationships and social functioning, it aims to help reduce overall distress.
Humanistic Therapy
Also known as humanism, humanistic therapy is a positive approach to psychotherapy that focuses on a person’s individual nature, rather than categorizing groups of people with similar characteristics as having the same problems.
Autism
A neurodevelopmental condition characterized by differences in social communication, behavior, and sensory processing. Autism exists on a spectrum, meaning it affects individuals in a variety of ways and to varying degrees. Common traits may include challenges with social interactions, repetitive behaviors, focused interests, and sensitivity to sensory input. People with autism may also have unique strengths in areas like memory, attention to detail, or creative thinking.
Couples Therapy
A form of counseling that helps partners improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen their emotional connection. Guided by a trained therapist, couples therapy provides a safe, neutral space to explore relationship challenges, rebuild trust, and work toward shared goals in a supportive and respectful environment.
Inner Family Systems (IFS) Therapy
A therapeutic approach that views the mind as made up of distinct “parts,” each with its own feelings, roles, and perspectives. IFS helps individuals identify and understand these parts—such as inner critics, protectors, or wounded inner children—and fosters healing by connecting with the core Self, which is calm, compassionate, and curious. Through this process, clients can release burdens, reduce internal conflict, and restore balance and harmony within.
